About Genesis Nd:YAG Laser
Genesis Laser by Cutera is an advanced non-ablative laser treatment that uses a 1064 nm wavelength to work deep below the skin surface without removing or damaging the outer layer. Because this wavelength penetrates deeper into the dermis, it allows controlled heating of the skin tissue, making it ideal for improving redness, texture, enlarged pores, acne-related inflammation, post-acne marks and overall skin quality.
The energy from Genesis is delivered in gentle micro-pulses, creating a uniform warming effect in the dermis. This thermal stimulation helps calm diffuse redness by targeting small visible vessels and vascular inflammation, while also activating the skin's natural repair response. As the tissue responds to the heat, the skin begins to remodel itself gradually — improving firmness, smoothness, tone and radiance over time.
Unlike aggressive resurfacing lasers, Genesis does not peel or wound the skin surface.
